They are both Leviem, and both from Conn. so there a likelihood that they are related.

Rabbi Moses J. Shragowitz of Congregation Kneses Tifereth Israel in Port Chester, N.Y., died yesterday in Glenville, Conn., while conducting a memorial service. He was 81 years old and had served the Port Chester congregation since 1937. He was made rabbi emeritus last Jan. 1.

He was Rabbi Dr Bernard Lander’s father-in-law
There was a Rabbi Yosef Zev Shragowitz from Fitchburg, MA who was also the son of Mordechai Yehudah halevi. He passed away in 1962 and retired to Port Chester, NY and then Worcester, MA.
Rabbi Shragowitz from Fitchburg, MA, was a brother of Rav Moshe Yehoshua Shragowitz. He was also the father of Rebbetzin Hinde Shragowitz.

My grandfather was Joseph Klestzick. I was told that our family name was Shragowitz and that my grandfathers cousin changed our name to Klestzick to avoid the Russian draft. Some years ago I looked up a Shragowitz, who told me that her parents had told her that was indeed the case. I just looked up the burial society from Timkovitz and saw that there was indeed a Shragowitz who was a member there. So I guess that we’re third (?) cousins. I’m very honored to find out about the possibility of being related to your Rabbi. There are Klestzick lawyers and Rabbis too.
One more thing, I looked up the family tree of the Vilan Gaon. He also relatives name Klestzick.
Our family is also Leviim.
Rabbi Shragowitz was the senior Rabbi of my shul in Port Chester along with Rabbi Speiser. He was there for my Bat Mitzvah and my brothers Bar Mitzvahs as well as both my parents deaths. He was a wonderful Rabbi and I will never forget him. He always said the Kiddish blessing at the food table after services. Very Orthodox and always had his long beard and talis on. Always there every Shabbos faithfully. May his memory always be a blessing.
